SOBA, the Southern Offroad Boarding Association was formed in 2000 along with the creation of the founding UK boarding associations. The collection of UK associations was created with a view to have a backbone of associations so the sport of mountain boarding could grow along with the ATBA.
Since then SOBA has gone from strength to strength. In this current 2006 season we have more fundays, free-riding, freestyle, boarding and general SOBA partying than ever.
From this website you should be able to find out more, get in contact with some boarders from our forum,or just check out, rate and view latest freestyle trickery.

Hi Guys

Good news! SOBA ‘T’ Shirts will be available from 20th June, priced at a very reasonable £15.00. We are taking pre-orders for these now. To get yours, please email teamsoba@btinternet.com with the size and number you want as there is very limited stock on the first batch.
If you haven’t already noticed, I have finally got around to updating the SOBA website. This has been in development for a while and I tried to make changes for the better. Theses included
- Updated back end systems. These should stop us from being hacked and will mean that Les will be able to easily update the website.
- Fresh Gallery. The hardest decision for me was to ditch our gallery system. This means we are going to start with a fresh gallery system. I have backed up all the photos, and will uploading them into an archive in the coming weeks.
- A dash-board like interface to the front page. This will hopefully alert you of all new forum posts and the latest gallery image uploads.
- A link to the latest YouTube videos. There will be a tag that will have to add, Currently its just pulling all videos that have ‘teamsoba’ in the title.
I’m welcome to feedback and Les will be looking for people to help update and post on this blog.
I wanted to share our web stats with everyone and wanted to thank everyone for a continued support of www.teamsoba.co.uk.
In one year we have had 30,000 unique visitors with 229,438 page views. The average SOBA visitors spends 5min and 2 seconds on our site. There are 1,313 on Dial up, sorry you slow people!
The Team SOBA webstats Aug 2006 – Aug 2007. PDF has a lot more stats.
I have been busy recently, I have updated the very messy and bad CSS. I feel sorry if anyone ever needs to edit the code. The blog will allow for news, videos and pictures to be posted faster and more effiencent.
I have some plans for the forum and gallery, but just trying to migrate it to the new servers first.
Comments are welcome! Post in the comments box! If you want to be able to publish arcticals, I will allow access for the select few and who ever Big D deems witty and board enough.
